Yesterday, November 5th, we had another visit from Pet Blood Bank UK who were desperate for blood. They stopped by just for the six pints which goes to show just how valuable it is for them and the dogs whose lives it saves.
Their next visit to our kennels will be on November 25th so we're doing a massive call-out to those with dogs who fit the criteria (below), in the local area, that can come and donate blood to the cause. Could your dog be a lifesaver?
For your dog to be a blood donor, they must meet certain criteria. Your dog’s welfare is always our priority and so for them to become a lifesaver, they must be:
Fit and healthy
Between one and eight years old
Weigh more than 25kg
Have a good temperament
Have never travelled outside of the UK and Ireland
Vaccinated or have an annual titre test after the first year booster
Not on any medication
